Last night on photobucket I was looking for some photos and all of the sudden my computer started going beep, beep, beep and the screen started pulsing with the beep, beep, beeps. 8O I freaked and hit the reboot button on my computer and it keep up the beeping till the computer was all the way shut down.

I ran AVG scan and some spy-ware scans and bot scans. My computer is no longer beeping but it is slow. Did this ever happen to anyone before?

depends on the model, and the pattern of beeps. Simplest explanation might be that something was resting on the keyboard. A pattern of beeps usually indicates a hardware problem. Sometimes system boards will start beeping if you've gotten too hot inside the computer. (If you're comfortable opening the computer, a good can of air to blow out the dust can extend the life of your PC. If you're not comfortable with it, get someone (or a technician) that does.

just a couple of possibilities.

Yes, for the exception i was on Myspace. I would disable any startup programs you have and any power settings/ Modified Bios Settings you have on you Machine. Its Probaly a virus running in your memory or a Video Card Error. Update you video driver while your at it along with firewall software.

this same thing happened on an older Intel based chipset i used to run... it is most likely a video card overheat alarm...

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Oh now I remember a message came up something about hardware. I don't remember exactly what it said. I'm going to get my friend to open it up and see if there is any dust in there. Thanks :)

Here is a dumb suggestion. If it is dust in the case open it up and clean out the dust using a can of compressed air.

There is dust in the case. Every computer sucks in tons of dust with its fans.

The question is: If you remove the dust, will the problem go away? :)

That intro reminds me of something:

"I was writing a paper on the PC..."
