"What the?" pretty much says it all.

What gets me is that they haven't been arrested and the response of the police lieutenant makes it seem like he feels that it all makes sense.

Check out the video on CNN:

I will check out the CNN vidio. Thanks.

The story I linked to has been changed. It orginally said the children were foster children and all had cages. This update says they were adopted and some had cages.

My god, though. That's nuts.

Yeah. I've read foster and adopted. Doesn't make much difference as long as the cages are there, does it?

Well soon those people will be locked into a cage of a differnt sort :-D . Hopefully...... Im still a bit worried that once a jury hears the word autism they will say that it was neccessary (or at least one will.)

Worse than that, they haven't been arrested and the police seem to be making excuses for them.

The police will eventually arrest them or they'll be mass protests and people will start losing jobs.

Same here. Ignorance can be pretty strong when certain words are thrown about.

Where was the reaction, except here, when Law and Order:Trial byJury explicity presented a man with AS as a rapist?

They don't think they did anything wrong. There's a lesson in there, about just how different people can be.

According to the Yahoo article I read...

Quote:
Their adoptive parents, Michael Gravelle, 56, and Sharen Gravelle, 57, denied in a custody hearing Monday that they abused or neglected the children, who are ages 1-14 and have conditions that included autism and fetal alcohol syndrome.

Let's cue up the "oh, but the parents have already suffered enough" chorus...

I heard on CNN radio that the couple is claiming a psychiatrist told them to put them in cages for their own safety so they didn't hurt each other.

WTF. Sounds like the kinda wacko sh*t that a shrink might say... ugh.
