Xbox 360 headset is the worse headset ever

I have the XBox 360 pad for Windows Vista so I thought I'd get the Xbox 360 headset for it. After paying £15 I expected some half decent but it's the most apauling headset I've owned. One sounds in mono has you only have a speaker for your right ear and the sound quality is so bad though it someone should be shot.

The microphone is even worse. Even with my Mic setting on max I have to shout into it to get it to pick up my voice and even whne it does pick up my voice it sounds all muffled and unclear.

i agree, the old xbox headset is much better

id post a direct link but cant.... but if you google "xbox 360 headset swap" it shows you how to rewire the classic xbox headset onto the new 360 plug and it works perfectly.... its the third link down me thinks...
