but how are you sure that you are an aspie then, if you don't have the typical conditions an AS has?

if you don't have any of the symptoms of AS then you probably don't have AS; If it doesn't look taste or smell like an apple, it isn't an apple.

It can either refer to anyone who is simply not on the autistic spectrum, or someone with no neurological conditions whatsoever.

NT=neurotypical. My understanding, though I might be using the term wrong, is that it is used in amoung asperger communities to refer to those who don't have asperger's. A lot of people in an aspie community like this one are going to be there because someone they care about is aspie, not because they are. They will often identify themselves as NT instead of normal or some other term that maybe less appropriatte or more awkward to other members of this community. For example in my case I am an NT, my daughter is an aspie.

Most people forget that not being on the autistic spectrum doesn't automatically mean that someone is an NT.

I think NT should mean 'without neurological differences that somehow interfere in life'. I think someone can be neurological different and still be 'typical', as not every alteration of the brain immediately means that someone is classified as having a disorder.
