You know what a porch is, right? Many porches are covered by a permanent extension of the roof which is supported by columns. This occurs in the houses we call 'Bungalows'.

I can't think of what this roofish covering is called. It is not an awning, because it is not retractable. It is not a ceiling, because it is outside. It is not a roof, because there is only one wall. What is that thing called?!

"The porch was wet because the rain leaked through the ______."
"A porch swing was suspended from the _______."
"The _______ was durable, so we did not have to replace it when we turned the porch into a sunroom."

:wall:
