I find the whole aspect of it all creepy. Be different if they were just dressed up like little princesses or age appropriate but they dress these kids up like something out of an adult magazine or even just Sports Illustrated.

Quoted for truth. I personally think that the only purpose those shows serve is pleasure fodder for pedophiles, whether the moms are aware of it or not. I shudder to think that my sister dreams of putting my niece in one of those pageants someday...

Horrible stuff - have seens some competitions on tv
where parents live out their dreams by pushing their
kid around, dressing it up like a tiny pornstar or something,
selfish people, and not too bright i think. I remember one
little girl i saw, someone asked her when her mother wasn`t
around if she had fun, she said no, but she had to do it
since her mother wanted to, but to be honest it really
really sucks she said. Then the mom came back and the
kid "loved" it again :cry:

Think one thing is the "living out your dreams through your kid,
even if it kills it"-thing. And then theres $.

Have seen several parents on tv trying to push their 6 year old kid into
being an actor, a singer, whatever just as long as we get that mighty $

What was the little girl's name, Jon Benoit? She was in these pageants and was murdered under very suspicious circumstances.

Crap like this really serves no purpose. We all know the only people who actually bother to look at this crap, and what it does for them, and no one else. I don't know why it's legal.

I can't imagine what kind of sick parents they have. Especially the father. What does he think of all this?
