I'm not sure if it makes you feel any better, but I love anime, live action J-dramas and J-pop. 
It makes me happy that there are many internet fan communities devoted to the genres. In the 'real world', I never seem to meet anyone who doesn't think my obsession is bizarre, but online, I can speak to many people who, although usually otherwise NT, share it with me.
