I'm 23, been diagnosed with Asperger's at 15. Throughout elementary, middle, and high school I have been constantly shunned, bullied, and abused. Even my freshman year of community college I got shunned a fair amount. The shunning has decreased considerably when I came out of the closet to my classmates and professors as an Aspergian. I even showed them Daniel Wendler's Asperger's Ted Talk and many no longer mistreated me. I still feel kinda lonely and depressed though. Asperger's has made my social life harder, but with enough support I can see myself living a normal life in the future. I would like to have a girlfriend someday. Doesn't matter if she's Aspergian or not. Anyways, thanks for reading this!
