I couldn't believe this either - the burkini was invented as a tool for bridging the racial divide at Sydney's beaches after the Cronulla Race Riots - it's no symbol of oppression, quite the opposite in fact. Glad they saw sense and overruled the ban.

I was diagnosed at 45 - it lifted a veil for me, a weight off my shoulders - I must have spent most of my life trying to work out how the rest of the world functioned as it was a complete mystery to me and needed to be solved. I don't think the mollycoddling does any good, but it's not only ASDs tha...

The thing I have been pondering over lately is this argument of intellectual property - as a corporation does not have a physical body how can it have an intellect and therefore how can it own intellectual property?

Aristocratic features are the result of centuries of inbreeding!! Physiognomy (the art of judging character from facial features) is a very dangerous practice and should be discouraged - it was used as the basis for supressing minorities, and basically the primary thinking behind oppression of the b...

For anyone who's interested, here are the Laws of Chivalry from The Song of Roland c1098-1100. The laws were often abused and corrupted and really only applied to Knights. It was primarily about defending God and Women.  To fear God and maintain His Church  To serve the liege lord in valour and fa...

I thought "The Young and Prodigious T S Spivet" was a great portrayal of a young aspie. I certainly related to it.
"Malcolm" is a great movie - with the lead as an aspie, but as he goes down the criminal path might not be good for your purpose.

I relate to this one too - over the years I have found that more often than not people are bored with my conversation or I am a conversation stopper - whatever it is - I have learnt to just be silent most of the time - to the point where now I find it hard to get vocal and get my words mixed up and ...

The best way to deal with the wallopers is to keep your cool - yes sir no sir three bags full sir. Remember police are the school yard bullies all grown up. They do not have the power to convict you, only charge you. You get to have your say when you front the magistrate. Do not say anything at inte...
