OP you might want to consider studying the art of persuasion. Sometimes the gentle use of persuasive questioning (Socratic method) can be very effective. Fundamental Christians who are verbally attacked will feel persecuted, and it will be impossible to get through to them. Fundamentals are already...

War...war never changes. ] To change war, we would have to change man and that would begin by getting rid of the god above man religions and only allow the man above god religions. We love war way too much and the god religions are war mongers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIQynsWpBpQ https://ww...

Hi GnosticBishop, have you read any Krishnamurti? He had a dim view of organised religion. I do not recall the name but will check it out. IMO, local churches, still have a place in some areas today but their usefulness is getting smaller yearly. Some form of organization for those would be helpful...

I did not catch your moral position. Where did you land? That question doesn't make sense to me. Something's either true or it's not true. I did not ask if something was true or not. "Did you have an opinion on the moral position of the O.P.?" That was the question. Do you see Yahweh and ...

From the first moment that a human baby can recognize the next one as "other," we have the essence of war. True and that is why mods should be as lenient as possible with those who attempt to put arguments forward while coming down hard on those who just throw the eh, more colorful epithe...

There is a lack of civility and an excess of personal attacks in this thread, driven mainly by one poster. It would be helpful if the offender took on board the axiom that personal attacks are not exempted from the rules and justified because he views other members as inferior beings to himself. If...

Did you have an opinion on the moral position of the O.P.? I'd have to give it four levels of analysis. Ground level - people believing BS. Best to make well-articulated points about parts of their books that are anti-human, how they don't serve the best interest of society today, and most importan...

well if you believe in "gods", what do you imagine them to be? I do not believe in supernatural gods. All gods are man made and to put them above mankind is to let ourselvers be subsumed by our own inventions. they are obviously intangible in the real world. Obviously, yes. how can you de...

Then you have no moral sense and do not care of the harm that religions do.
