Joining the Air Force is one of the few good things in my life. A lot of the other cadets I work with are a bunch of pricks but I finally met my best friend on a TDY. Also working active duty is so much different from ROTC, so that helps to keep pushing you forward. Every commander I've had has said... |

I was looking at Kent for a long time, can't tell whether it's a good fit or not for me though. |

No offence but it doesn't really sound like Asperger's, just a collection of small personality quirks. |

There have been a number of repeated tests done to prove the INACCURACY of wikipedia, but it actually ended up being proven pretty accurate. For one trial, a professor went through and put deliberately inaccurate (but not necessarily "ridiculous") "facts" into several lesser-researched topics with t... |

I'm on a brief professional training program with the Air Force, and was recently assigned to the COM squadron on base. There is no way at least %50 of those guys don't have at least mild AS. Their gait, how they talked, what they thought was funny, they seemed to have no clue whatsoever that the ex... |

I do, but only because my little sister (who lives in Australia) has one and invited me. I don't know of one person in the States who has one. |

I used to feel that if I wasn't attracted to someone by personality alone, I was totally shallow....but physical chemistry is a HUGE part of it, which I'm just now realizing. The only person I've ever loved was a body type I wouldn't have thought I'd be attracted to, but ever since he went away I'm ... |

I took a no-kidding, professional IQ test (for acceptance into a private school) when I was around 11 and scored 136. Every IQ test I've taken thereafter I score terribly on. I think it's because the test I took was empirical and did a lot of logic/reasoning and verbal whereas the tests I've taken s... |

I am EXACTLY like this and I'm not sure I have a solution, but I know how it feels It's like the house is your personal sanctuary, the one place you feel 100% safe, and that sanctuary is compromised by outsiders coming in. It's terrifying in its own right, because you have no Plan B, there's nowhere... |

I'm about to send the application...but I'd also planned on serving in the military so I'm holding off until I find out whether or not the Air Force will find out about this and I'll be disqualified |

I'm 19 ys/o and live with my mom (upper middle class income bracket), but she is still working off debt. Since I still live with my mom, am I not eligible for SSI? I have had 4 jobs in the past 2 years (the longest one lasting 3 months), but I end up being too stressed and depressed to work. I get p... |

PBNJ, your post is the story of my life. I have been in, literally, the exact same situation. I know I'm SUPPOSED to be out there socializing but when I do things like this happen and I'm itching to get home and decompress, but at the same time when I don't go out I feel bad for not "participating" ... |
