I too am sorry. I was lucky enough to get help from age 5. My parents immediately noticed that something was wrong so they did something to fix it and today at 32 I haven't been to or needed therapy in almost 12 years.

I would take some time to access whether or not he should even be driving at all. My neuro-psychologist said no driving for me and I did not even try until I was 23 and then it was a nightmare and to this day at 32 I still don't have a license.

I was lucky enough that my grandparents owned a private school, although not one for kids with autism but they were able to work with me and my parents had really good insurance that paid for all my therapies at 80%. I agree with the previous post. Work for yourself or find a job where you can be in an office all day and not interact with people. There are plenty of them out there.
