| My child stims when he’s excited. He poises his fingers in a certain way and flaps his hands. I honestly don’t mind his behavior because it helps give me an insight into how he’s feeling. |

Counselors are there to help instead of telling people that they are stupid.
In my opinion being bad at math does not necessarily mean that you have a Learning Disability although it is a good idea to get evaluated for dyscalculia (a math related learning disability) by a medical professional. |

Am I the only one here who loved math when I was your age? The best thing about math was that it was never boring. Take it easy peeps, you would love it. |

| Don’t lose heart. I’d suggest that you try to get therapy for reducing the problems you face. Processing problems are often linked with attention and short-term memory issues. If you can obtain help to strengthen your short-term memory and attention, you may be able to process what you are hearing a... |

| It is natural for symptoms of learning disabilities to go ignored in the early phases of life. You may have dismissed the issues you faced as idiosyncrasies or a lack of comfort with dealing with certain subjects and areas of life. Now that you have got a diagnosis, you can start working on remediat... |

| In my personal opinion, New York is one of the best states for Special Ed. With schools such as Aaron School and many others, New York has to be near the top if not on the top. |
