I know it's really out of season, but... Listen, I like Xmas as much as the next person, but the songs are incredibly obnoxious. In fact, one of the main things that I dread about the holidays are the annoying carols. The secular ones are typically the worst, especially ¨Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindee...

¨We Built This City¨-You can almost here the '60s die as you listen to it. ¨Don't Stop Believing¨-So overdone. So obnoxious. I still can't fathom how anyone even liked this clunker, even back in the '80s. -That ¨Happy¨ song or whatever you call that maniacal idiocy that Pharrell Williams has fostere...

I've always hated sports since I was little. None of them have ever held any interest for me. Not one. This used to get me teased back before 7th grade or so. I think, with the rise of Netflix and ¨high-quality¨ cable dramas with actual plotlines rather than just a bunch of disconnected episodes, th...

Zajie: I would do that, but that's a) one of the very oldest tricks in the book and b) I really don't need help with my schoolwork. The only place I need help in is math, and, even though she's good at math, my dad is as well and can always help me on that. Plus, there's some lunchtime work periods ...

MollyTroubletail: I really don't know. I already have lots of other interests-especially history. I really can't figure out if she likes me as a crush or likes me as just a friend. As I've said, we have very long, in-jokey conversations, and we're just about intellectual equals (I'm better at geogra...

Sum: I actually do get my school- and homework done. I have a special study period on Tuesdays and Fridays with some other kids, so I get to finish some work in there. I also get an extension on schoolwork on Mondays because that is the day when I see my therapist. Plus, I'm actually more productive...

Sum: Well, my parents think that I think about this girl way too much, and keep reminding me that ¨she's just a friend¨ and that ¨she's nothing to you¨ and that my only job in school is to do schoolwork and make friends. I've been on an outing with a friend before (to our local car show), but that f...

Not sure if this belongs here, but...

I would just like to know if there are any fellow Aspies who live in Philadelphia or its suburbs (Upper Darby, Main Line, etc.)

I personally live in South Philadelphia.

So. At my school, there's this one girl in my homeroom who I'm very obsessed with. She's very intelligent and pretty, and we have a lot in common. We're both kind of nerdy and slightly socially awkward, which makes having a conversation with her very easy. I used to have lunch with her with a group ...

Hmm, probably George Orwell. I really like ¨Animal Farm¨, ¨1984¨, and his essays.
Maybe H.L. Mencken, too, but, knowing him, he might get crankier as the night wears on...
