If you're in the UK and don't see the logic in being able to diagnosis yourself with a mental disorder or disability and disagree with it you can be locked up for being hateful! Also make sure not to assume anyone's gender as gender is fluid and be changed at will.

I don't think it's necessary. All that is necessary is for everyone to remember to mention their general location, if it isn't in their profile info at the side. "I've just been unfairly fired from my job for not being able to do a task due to my processing disorder, and I think it may be ille...

I want a girlfriend, to have sex so bad, the frustration is unreal sometimes. I'm 22 years old and never had a girlfriend, never had sex, never even kissed a girl. I try to tell myself to not worry, to not stress about not having anybody. But no matter what I do, I just can't help it. Love is my ob...

I'm 30 years old, and I feel like I'm not capable of doing half of the things I want to do. I wanted to become a writer, a dog trainer, a certified professional organizer, a maid, and a CIA clandestine agent or government translator (I guess the last one sounds pretty far fetched, but it did seem p...

So, I'm a bagger at a big grocery store, I'm 16 years old, this is my 1st job and I've been working there for almost 4 months. Especially as of late, I am so upset at how often I'm being scheduled on friday/saturday/sunday, compared to the weekdays. There are 2 reasons for that: 1. I have a friend ...

Hygiene and Confidence are key. Sometimes you see a very small guy a little ugly on the eyes but mostly those little guys act like tough guys and get all the good looking women. Why? Because they've evolved throughout their lives they were picked on and had to fight back so that's why you see a lot ...

 I need some helpful advice and kindness. I'm a 35-year-old diagnosed Aspie, been married for 10 years. I keep repeating this situation where I frequently and unwittingly irritate or offend someone (often my wife, an NT), that person reacts with frustration (and eventually anger), then I feel ...

Why did they take away accommodations?? Shouldn't that be illegal?? Not if they were never specifically referred to as disability based and there was no involvement from ADA, which there wasn't. Also most people forget when a person with a diagnosised disability asks for an accomdation they have to...

In the United States, Aspergers, no matter the DSM classification, i.e. "on the spectrum" is a protected classification. Disclose your condition to your employer or potential employer, would be my thought. Knowing your limitations and gifts, employers can make reasonable allowances for yo...

Wozeree, I really want to get a service dog too. I know this would definitely make me stand out more, and brand me as disabled for everyone to see, but I think the presence of a large, calm animal would really go a long way towards curtailing my meltdowns and self-injurious behaviour. It would also...

I'll be honest my first reaction was if you have this much problem adjusting perhaps you need to find another job that you can handle. Then I saw you were female and of course I felt sorry for you and changed my mind. This is most likely how they are dealing with this right now giving you a little m...

If you've met one autistic person;you've met one autistic person. Eric may need to be taught about consent. I bet he still didn't get laid after writing that. I doubt he's even autistic, just another tool. Xanga quiz most likely told him he's autistic lol Remember now autism was a stepping Stone fo...

Since I first became active on this forum, I have often found that whenever I or anyone else vents or voices their pain about how unfair society and neurotypicals can be, there is a good chance that other users with AS will either a) attack and/or vilify them for voicing said pain b) claim that sai...
