I think the complexity is that accepting is in various ways: accepting us in our identity in Christ, accepting our weaknesses (knowing that God manifests his strength through those moments), accepting us in the midst of the other christians, sometimes accepting that we express our relationship in a ... |

I think what is helpful is visual Bibles, where there are images or videos explaining the text.
Write "visual Bible" in a search engine and you'll find many interesting Bible projects for kids on the spectrum. |

I also like Isaiah 43 But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; @RachObi : This verse is so intense to me, sometim... |

Wow I love this post ! I don't know which one is my favorite, I would say : "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the p... |

Any churches that made you felt like you mattered? They say adults on the spectrum are the least churched demographic (at least those who are higher functioning). As a aspie, I felt welcomed and loved in most of the churches I've been to, there were sometimes where I felt like I didn't exist. When ... |

Thank you Scotia for posting this information. I wii definetly look through it today. With what has been said in the past about autistics largely being atheists and also not able to have a faith-I felt the need to attention to this and the recent research about many autistics can have intense spiri... |

I really liked this second episode. He learns really fast, there's humor, there's drama but never too exaggerated. It's quite realistic about how someone can be ostracized because of his difference ; plus, people are afraid of smart persons they don't get. The moment he knocks the door : i think man... |

Oh Mon Dieu! A girl from la France! Hello and welcome (I'm new too). I'heard that in France the awareness of the population about the AS is someway different to the rest of the world due to the impact of the freudian psychoanalysis in that country. I saw it on a documentary called "Hugo's Brai... |

To answer the OP question. One of the biggest problem with cognitive/mask wearing, social faking, is that it doesn't benefit you, it's just the other person you are trying to impress that is benefiting from it. When NT's socialize with each other. They reinforce each others feeling. When you fake i... |
