Hey stranger, been MIA myself. Have been very busy, and trying to cope with completing everything has left my peripheral engagements to fall silent. Sorry about that.
I think by Tuesday I *should* have time to adequately explain, but I haven't forgotten to write you back.

I was told as a adult that I had low self esteem, or people telling me that I was less than other people. She grilled me when I requested an evaluation. It was really difficult. I ended up having to go through another avenue for diagnosis. Kraftiekortie: that describes me as a kid JUST a little bit....

Everything I'm interested in requires a PhD. Neuroscience, Obstetrics (but not--more the research side of it), Psychology, etc. It all requires a PhD and not a bachelor's. I'm very stuck, personally. Medical billing and coding is a vo-tech degree here. Or it was. Makes me snore. Basic data entry? I ...

I'm probably going for Biology, but I don't know. I'm really second guessing myself. The positions/jobs available at the end of the bachelor's is totally not what I have ever had a lasting interest in. My general interests have lied more in English/literature, Psychology, or studies that would revol...

It has been known since Kanner that autism regression is a real thing that happens often around age 2. Babies appear typical and suddenly appear very autistic. It is not known why this happens. This lack of knowledge creates a need for an explination. Age 2 is when kids are often vaccinated. Kid is...

Last Sunday I was at a dinner table really close to a baby cousin in a high chair. He was not crying, but being very vocal. But it did not bother me much surprisingly. But I think a baby crying insistently drives anyone nuts. Even more so for someone on the spectrum. Yes. I can't stand it. Hence, m...

Zkydz: Yet AGAIN, we are on the same page. I JUST shared this today or yesterday. SkiBum: Vaccines are very effective. But there are a couple ways someone could become sick even if they have been vaccinated. 1. Sometimes a person's immune system simply cleans out the vaccine instead of converting it...

I have two kids, who are 8 years apart in age. I find that as babies and toddlers they are much easier to cope with than this dreaded preteen age my daughter is currently in. But I have been lucky with both of mine. My daughter was easily soothed, she just wanted to sit on you and talk at you, and s...

Also, talk to your doctor? If you are having trouble working and it is disrupting your health, you may qualify for some assistance.

Are there any chances to change fields? Could you, say, go into research? Or something like it? Could you go to your local employment agency and ask for help? (Just did this myself for diagnosis and job-finding help, and they are sending me to college to specifically leave the nursing field).

What Beaky said. I also find that if I am speaking on a topic that I'm interested in, I can be funny, engaging, informative, I dare say eloquent even. Get me off that topic? It's a disaster. It ends up being a monologue for me though. I'm better at those than dialogues. But yeah when it's a topic o...

NerdyGirl: You and I would get along well. My house is a disaster or epic proportions. It is nearing hoarder status in some rooms, and that is WITH painstaking effort in cleaning. I completely understand. I have a (life long, NT, best) friend who says "Sorry the house is a mess", and I loo...

Yeah, same. I come off as being very weird and when I do tell people that I'm autistic then they are rarely surprised unless all they know about autism is the stereotype, even then though I tend to rock back and forth a lot, my stimming is often not very discrete, my social skills are pretty terrib...

I was just diagnosed with ASD this week after evals spanning the past few weeks. I told the clinician after the first visit that I don't think I shared enough information; when she asked questions, I don't "get the gist" and answer the broad question she was probably looking for. Instead ...
