I'm aiming to write a couple of articles about misdiagnosed people on the spectrum. For now I would publish them on my blog and see what happens.

Would anyone like to share their life story?

That's the first article:

Well, I don't have social anxiety, it's definitely to do with information overload. The first interview with this company went really well as when I turned up, they weren't ready to interview me so everyone just came to meet me and then I was left pretty much on my own for around 15 minutes. So I ha...

I was not sleepy at all because of the setting itself, which being a stressor would have upped my levels of adrenaline and cortisol - to very high levels that were unhelpful. The valium counterbalanced that to a very focused and aware state. That's interesting. Will discuss with my GP. But did you ...

B19 - does is not send you straight to sleep? Btw I don't think I will get it from my doctor for that purpose. They don't like giving meds here in the UK. Kraftie, thanks. I got over it. And my manager probably thinks I'm faking Asperger. And I can't discuss that with her because if I really had Asp...

I am trying to raise awareness of our issues. Before I realized I have Asperger at 37, I was always told I just needed to work on my confidence. Even now, after the diagnosis, most of what I know is from the internet, as there is virtually no support where I live. I wrote a blog post about an autist...

I did take a few pills and seemed to work within half an hour - could be placebo effect. But it stopped working when I got really depressed, so I'm on sertraline now, which is good.

I coped too well to get any diagnosis either than 'too dramatic', does that count? :-) but I had symptoms of depression, bipolar, BPD, PTSD, and even brief psychotic episode once.

Does she drive? If not, you could offer her a lift. Unless she lives in the opposite direction to where you live, as you don't want to appear desperate.

There are men who asexual as well. I think that would be the best option for you, as dealing with asexuality and sensory issues at the same time may in fact be too much.

Never anything official. Had a sort of relationship in my late teens, that was the last time I was ever kissed, but it wasn't a relationship. There have been a couple of dates that went nowhere. But nope, no relationships. I can't imagine ever having one now. I'm really depressed. Feels like there ...
