I enjoy reading a lot, and have read several books this year (but none of them new seeing as I am focusing on a book list). I was wondering if anyone has read anything published recently that I might enjoy when I need a break from one of my endless Modern Library or Pulitzer Prize Winning lists (or ...

Meistersinger, 1.) I hear you about the ALA. Fortunately, I did attend an ALA-accredited institution so that part is good. 2.) I do not have a master's in another subject. I have thought about going to my undergrad school and get either a certificate in public history, or go for a Master's in Histor...

I have had a job for three years, and I have never felt that disclosing would be a good way to go. Socially, I am not the greatest, but I feel like people have adjusted to my quirks, and are satisfied with the way I deal with customers because other than some small talk, there is really no personal ...

Hi gee_dee, I feel the same way as you do. I'm even starting to wonder if I should try to find a different career path than librarianship. I did volunteer at a historical society which had some similar work to being in a library and I have always loved history. I have joined some library organizatio...

Pineapplejuicex,
I have looked at applying for information technician jobs for colleges, and have applied for different research positions. I did apply for a research analyst position for a city government but have yet to hear anything from them the past couple months. |

Hi ok, your experiences in Denmark sound very similar to mine. I am pretty much trying to get any sort of library job, but my dream would be working as a reference and instruction librarian in a college library. I did work as a student assistant at my undergrad library, and even interned at a culina...

I am 25 year old library school graduate on the autism spectrum. I graduated from library school over a year ago and have struggled to even find a part time or full time librarian job position ever since. I currently have a job in a public library, but it is a part time assistant position and I am n...
