Hi there. I've already tried once to get a referral to someone who can assess me for Asperger's/ASD, this was two years ago, and I was given the brush off. I actually specifically asked for the referral to a specialist, but anyway. I have recently been advised to use NICE guidelines, specifically CG...

Yeah. I never invite people back to my flat because I simply don't like people coming here. I never had a choice when I was younger because I lived with a paranoid, emotionally abusive and manipulative pensioner who was convinced I'd get attacked or kidnapped if I went further than next door by myse...

"Pull your socks up." I know what it means, but please, don't say it to me. I don't like it. I don't understand where it comes from. I don't want to hear it. And what's more: I don't wear socks. I wear tights. and that old favourite: "Cheer up." I'm not "cheered down" t...

I first dyed my hair when I was 11 or 12; you used to be able to buy this temporary dye that came in a can of hair mousse type stuff. I haven't dyed my hair since last April though. I had a haircut last month, my first in over a year, and I'm quite liking my natural dark brown right now! I have a pr...

I've had this problem all my life, so it's not like a medical condition or anything and it doesn't happen too often... But does anyone else ever get so desperate for the toilet that when they actually attempt to go they just sit there (or stand there, sorry guys!) for a minute or two just waiting fo...

I dislike hearing other people eating, I don't know why. That annoys me too! Suck suck suck. Crunch crunch crunch! Ugh! Same! Especially people who pour too much milk on cereal and then sit there slurping. It's like OH MY GOD CEREAL IS SUPPOSED TO BE CRUNCHY YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DRINK IT! Yeah, t...

Believe me, you aren't missing out on not getting drunk. It is a horrible feeling that I would not want anybody to feel. I'm not an alcoholic, but once I get started I'm definitely a problem drinker, who gets hangovers that last two or three days. Obviously, I'm not saying that would happen to you, ...

I'm Laura, I'm 23 for another four weeks and I just thought I'd make myself known to you all. I don't have a diagnosis of any Autism Spectrum Disorder, although I am waiting on a GP appointment to ask for a referral. I have life-long social phobia (which was only diagnosed three years ago, when I wa...

I zone out almost constantly, have zero control over it. Can be having a conversation with someone and lose the thread completely - as a result, many of the conversations I have tend to confuse me, I couldn't learn anything during lessons at school (had to learn from reading textbooks over and over)...
