I feel very connected to my brother and what I think of first of all is if we were to sit down and watch a television show or movie. If I sensed he wasn't happy, if he was subdued and quiet, I would be paralyzed and be unable to enjoy myself. Also even if I'm not directly involved and members of my ...

Bento boxes! I used to do similar with my food when eating it when I was little... but in this form, it's acceptable to play with your food. There's this great little eat-out near the city where we live called Shuji Sushi and they offer a variety of Bento boxes - teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef, te...

Your avatar reminds me that I was rubbish at baseball as a child. lol I didn't concentrate and focus on the ball properly, my composure was non-existent, I just swung hard and hoped for the best.

Anyway, hello.

The Middle East is such a fascinating region. What I think of firstly is the Iranian New Wave which has produced some of the finest film in the world today. I've also read books about their societies which were interesting too. Well, so much to say, really. The Lebanese cuisine was once recommended ...

Welcome Adam. Noor is an interesting name and it sounded familiar to me, then I realized why. At the beginning of The Kite Runner, a novel written by an Afghan writer, there's some text indicating "to Faris [not sure] and Hannah, both the noor of my eyes, and to the children of Afghanistan."

You have a very charming voice which was very nice to read, welcome. I enjoy writing but for some reason fiction does not suit me, I am rather inept at it. lol And of course, reading - mostly I've read fictional material and for some years I've taken to more Eastern material, especially Japan [Haruk...

Great introduction. Unfortunately I have a bad tendency to compare myself to others so I feel that my comparative thread is inadequate. lol Kind of wish I had added more details, I enjoy writing, definitely one of my passions. The thread title reminds me of an interesting and pleasant song titled "S...

Hello, I'm new to this site. I have asperger's and I have an obsession with scooters. Thank You! Hi. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed but I think Vespas are cool. I seen an anime, one of my favourites, and for the closing theme they showed a Vespa being dragged through various streets in Japan, it was p...

Iceland has been one of my longest-running special interests in my life and I recall very distinctly my first memory of this country, when it made known its existence to me. I was perusing our atlas, a very large one, and it was quite battered and bruised if I recall correctly. Eventually I found th...

Tess of the D'Urbervilles, which was loaned from the library yesterday. Finished the first part and even when I'm not reading it I've often been staring at the front cover which shows a lovely illustration of the lead. I approached it with some trepidation as I find classics are either marvelously c...

Does anyone else experience a fluxuating preference for being touched. Touching in general is uncomfortable for me, but I only really don't like when I'm not expecting it. Yes, a few situations. A routine examination conducted by a doctor, for some reason I find this very relaxing, peaceful and soo...

Thanks very much. Also I wish to apologize - I had formerly registered but back then didn't properly introduce myself, sorry about that. Actually I'd forgotten I had a pre-existing account.
