I won the lottery and contracted a rocket scientist to do my homework until I graduate. What? You won't let me graduate? Then you made my rocket scientist's day.

Lyeshea, those are great. Sometimes I get really mad when people push their unhelpful help on me. One simple phrase I've found helps to push some away is to calmly say, "I said I don't need your help. Please respect my wishes, thank you." I don't know a kinder way to stop the pushiest of t...

It's a tragedy to lose all the good any living human can do. It's even more of a tragedy if society condones helping another end their life when there are other options they don’t see in the midst of their suffering. Suffering and depression have a way of clouding thinking, certainly my own thinking...

Interesting, a thread deliberately created to be one-sided. But since it’s here, I figure, might as well give that side it’s fair hearing. Here are a few more points that haven’t been brought up yet. I want to start though with the hope that both sides want to reduce suffering overall, because that ...

I've had this issue on many threads, for a long time. Not all though. Quick potential workaround since you don't have that many posts yet, maybe if you marked them all as read, to see if the problem goes away on at least some threads.

I'm having the same problem. It's frustrating because I don't log in often, so the notifications help me. What do we do to fix them or report the problem to the right people?

Meanwhile, nothing affected Middle-earth as bigly as chimpanzees invading Hungary. When dire wolves defended the king, trolls farted. "Eeeew!!" Geert impeached Rutte, and hens left Nebraska. Dutch people voted against socialists, but they didn't expect DataB4 ( ) Then Geert transformed int...

I wonder how different I'd be if I never actually used the internet as a method of communication with people I'll likely never meet face-to-face. OMG the Internet has been such a big part of my world, so I'm sure I'd be different without it. I've had amazing Internet discussions, I've discovered I'...

Everybody needs a little Stubbs someplace in the back of their head. A little is great. Too much majorly sucks: the critic who won't shut up until I manage to either accomplish something meaningful or forgive myself because I'm dealing with a lot, and I'm human, and we humans sometimes make lots of...

...Sun Microsystems USED TO BE a Special Interest to me and when Oracle took over, I went into a several years spiral dive into depression and even had to be hospitalized! Wow, that must've been so much fun, trying to explain your depression to therapists who had no context and no idea why that was...

AspieSingleDad, great story, because I started to feel as I read it. I was admiring your perseverance at the gym, cheering you on in the fight, feeling a bit of your guilt for destroying the family photos. Asperger96, good start with the road to diagnosis idea and the description of how you communic...

All great ideas, depending on the goal of your presentation. In general, what do you want your audience to learn or remember from your presentation?
