Hi, I'm 37 and an expat living in Berlin. I just want to share that after reading a ton of self-help books, I landed doing an online test about Asperger's syndrome and bingo! After that, I started reading the book "Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome" and then a lot of things started to...

Which books have you read? I only have read the "Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome", but I plan to read more. I have read that one also. I have read the following so far: Very Late Diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome by Wylie Making Sense of the Unfeasible by Fleisher Can I tell you about ...

I found out I am an Aspie almost three months ago. I have never had a date with a woman. I have a job, live alone in a nice house and am considered a 'high functioning' Aspie. How would anyone suggest I get started in meeting women? I welcome any advice from men and women, especially those who have...

I'm just a little curious why you may have possibly only started to seek love and dating at age 54. I don't mean to sound harsh or rude, and I apologize before-hand if I do, but it makes me wonder what other things you have been doing with your life to not have the time to give dating a try. This i...

It is never too late to start, I guess. I am 52, and I have started to look for a good wife for me. I am using the help of the marriage agency from http://www.ukrainianfiancee.com I guess, they will help me find a great woman. Have you guys ever tried using such a thing? Thanks for your response. I...

I have been reading many Aspie books and have gotten a lot out of them. I would welcome comments from other Aspies on books they have read. I am especially interested in books which give actionable advice for 'improving' your life. Has anyone read a book or books, taken action on the advice and seen...

I was diagnosed two years ago, at age 43, and I feel no shame whatsoever about being on the spectrum. I'm actually rather proud about the fact that I've done as well as I have managed over the course of my lifetime despite no diagnosis and no external supports outside my own family. I didn't tell a...

I feel shame because I am inferior to NT's. I should not feel that way but I do. Never having had even a date with a woman I feel like a total social failure. I wanted a girlfriend since the first day of school and never had one. I have so many good qualities but my virgin, dateless status outweighs...

I am 54 and only found out I had Asperger's a couple months ago. Only my brother, sister in law and niece know and I don't plan on telling anyone else ever. The three of them are extremely supportive.

Welcome to Wrong Planet! :) I can relate about feeling alone in the world. Even though I live with my family, I have no choice but to keep my current relationship with my NT girlfriend a secret from my family. My family believes that my AS is a just reason to prevent me from having a social life. T...
