Thanks for sharing. I will have to give this a try. I know I experience issues similar to what you described in that other thread.

Yup, always been something of a gamer, though I'd vacillate between console and PC gaming. Over the last couple years I've really gotten into pinball games, to the degree that it might be considered a "special interest". Just with a quick glance it looks like I've logged about 1,000 hours...

Try not to let yourself feel bad for being the way you are, the person you are. You only live once, you may as well try to enjoy it. If you like your new backpack, use it! If someone says something negative just ignore them. I will say that I found people to be far less judgmental in college. I hope...

I don't like to lie, I'm not good at lying and I hate it when other's lie to me. It was quite annoying, in the past, when I regularly had to deal with some people who seemed very truth-impaired.

I'm curious, could this issue be considered a meltdown? I'm still somewhat new to this, so I'm not quite sure.

I spent pretty much 15 years in denial (2001-2016). There were a multitude of reasons why. One of the biggest was that I didn't really understand Autism till I started reading things written BY Autistics, instead of just about them. Once I started doing that everything just began to click!

I basically fit the description of Selective Mutism perfectly. It was a big issue for me, through the end of high school. I basically would not talk to any of my peers that I didn't consider a close friend. I would only talk to close friends and adults and, even then, it was difficult. This led to a...

I don't really care what people wear and I don't pay much attention, with one major exception. Back when I worked retail and was helping a customer I would mentally note something they were wearing so that I wouldn't lose track of them if I had to leave momentarily. I had to do this because I was/am...

I have had digestive issues all my life. They've actually been getting worse the last few years. I can't really comment about red meat, as I've never liked it very much and rarely eat it. I eat mostly grains and vegetables.

Some people think autism is a disease that robs people of their personhood and using person first language will make it all better. This is exactly what people are saying. A person with X (diabetes/bipolar/autism/asthma/MS...) is used because you are person first, and not to be defined whatever iss...

This is something that seriously concerns me and makes me wonder if getting an official diagnosis might have some negative effects. Over the last few years I've developed some health issues that I'm convinced have some physical cause and aren't just "all in my head". Even without an Autis...

I've always had trouble being in the car, even if I wasn't the driver. My anxiety was often worse when I was the driver. I tended to drive like an old lady. I would almost never venture onto unfamiliar roads unless I had someone else navigating. I like driving, in theory, but in practice it tends to...
