I actually use mine quite a lot. It's probably mostly Instagram and the PTV app (public transport app) I use most here. For Instagram I have an account which is mostly our poodle, and similarly follow a lot of dog profiles. It's actually soothing watching all these other dog's lives.

I agree with the whole "small talk" thing. Unless there's a meaningful point to a discussion it's hard to work with.

I also have an interesting in transport and in particular the railway scene. I have both HO and N scale model railway gear.

I'm also a tabletop gamer (miniatures games).

I got several Fidget Cubes from the Kickstarter and use them both at home and at work.

I also don't see them as an AS thing either, and just as useful for many fidget NTs.

I'm not as open but have told some people. I guess in a way it depends how safe you feel with someone, and if it could help with your interaction with them, or others who I know or think are similar. I don't just tell people unless there's a reason.

Joining a (small) local club can be good. I'm part of a model railway club here that has a small member base, while there are also others with much larger membership. The good thing about being a small club is it feels more likely a family, with just a small number of people to acquaint and interac...

Facebook certainly, and several other hobby interest forums. I also use instagram now but mostly recording Meg (our miniature poodle). Don't really use Skype but have used it in the past. I still use a guild IRC channel as well.

I struggle with really loud, noisy environments but not to the degree on a panic attack. Sometimes though I do feel like people are watching us and that can make us feel uncomfortable. I don't know if it may help to have friends with you when you go to these places? It might make you feel safer and ...

I don't think it's an aspie thing, and I've heard some NT's say similar things. At the same time I know many AS who don't get (that) worried about the future. Certainly people want to change the course of human direction (global warming, famine, war, etc) but I don't often hear of people becoming sc...

I think I do a bit, but I tend to be able to say no. It's not an overly huge problem for me but can at times get us into an uncomfortable situation. I think it's also easier in different circumstances; it's a lot harder to say no if when you feel you'll be letting someone down in a big way.

In the future I'd love to be able to but at this point work and other activities actually make it hard to find time to maintain something like a veggie garden. While where we live we have a big garden, it's certainly something we (my Dad and I) want to do in the near future.

Some fabrics I haven't felt comfortable in (denim and hard leather mostly) but I wouldn't say I can understand quite how you feel.

I don't know if it's more a lack of awareness or lack of understanding. Even recently I've made told that I wasn't aware someone I was talking to needed their own space, including some signs that in hindsight I can tell I've missed. Other times not so much. Similarly I've had trouble reading express...

Not really, but at times we may feel lonely but that's normal.

With family and a (very) small group of finds and our work colleagues, we tend to be comfortable.

If talking about romantically, perhaps, but then I've never been after that type of relationship.

I think one thing is it's easy to just type away random comments online without having to deal with any (immediate) repercussions. In many fora the users are also anonymous (Facebook is a bit of an exception) making it easier again to make rash comments and get away with it.
