Hm... I don't think I would enjoy most jobs, but maybe there is something specific out there for me. I prefer studying and researching topics on my own. If I had a job I would want it to be straightforward with clear steps and minimal human contact. I am thinking a work-from-home job selling crafts ...

Almost 1 year later now, I have my formal diagnosis of ASD and GAD... It was a wild ride trying to find a group that would work with an adult, in my area, but after lots of testing and interviews... Here I am again... Now I am back to research what types of therapies and treatments will be beneficia...

To respond to 23andaspie, yes! I grew up with the games and shows so mew and the ancient mew card from the movie premiere have special places in my heart. The extra w is a play on www and usually makes the username available in games and otherwise. :mrgreen:

Nope! During my time cleaning I always said "use the vacuum" or on a rare occasion used "vacuum" as a verb.

In general, I find it easier to deal with small talk when it is over a shared interest, which is more likely with the social or gaming groups you mentioned. With nightclubs, there can be the confusion of alcohol, lots of extra sensory input (lights, sounds), and plenty of subtext or confusing flirti...
