I'm not sure what it's like to be NT, but I know I'd rather not be an Aspie. I am who I am, and I don't hate myself or anything, but I do think life is a lot harder for me than it needs to be. Maybe if I had had a relatively peaceful childhood / teenage years I could have developed the positive Aspi...

I agree with the sweaters comment. I hate wool.
And bitter anything... I think I hate bitter more than the average person. |

I'm not as much a fan of the ancient games, but I do tend to gravitate towards games from the early to mid-90's. I'll play anything by Sierra, basically, and some Westwood, and I'm ashamed to say the Microsoft Games from Win 95. I do have a soft spot in my heart for Tetris though. Always will.

Question: What about people that come over but they were there to see someone else in your household, not you. Does it still bother you that they came over and you weren't expecting it? I think I'd have an easier time with someone over to see me. Then they wouldn't be a stranger and I would know ho...

I am so upset right now. About three hours ago there was a knock on our back door. Now, that's odd in itself because no one ever comes through the back door. That's what the front door is for. It turns out to be two of my husband's childhood friends. Well, OK. I panic when anyone shows up unannounce...

This is a real sore spot for me. I look a lot younger than I am, and no one can explain why. When I was in college the city bus driver assumed I was in middle school. I don't think I act young nor am I short or small, or dress young, etc. Even at work people comment on how they can't take me serious...

I'm married and have a child... It kind of fits for me. Usually I have one good friend at a time. My husband happens to be that friend for me at this stage in my life. (I'm not saying I plan on this being temporary or anything.) It just makes sense for me. He's all the socialization I need. The baby...

My first "date" ever - I think it was middle school. My friend and I were at a community center. A guy came up to us and asked if I wanted to "go out". I said something like, "it's raining, I like it better inside" and walked away. Only later did I figure out he didn't want to go OUTSIDE - he wanted...

Music used to center me but now it just distracts me unless I'm actively listening to it. My favorite way is to put it on headphones and play a repetitive comp game like Tetris or Zuma while listening to it, or drive on the highway to it. (I usually turn the radio off if I'm driving in a city.) I'll...

I got migraines about once a week while in middle school. They were crippling, and that's when I would be sensitive to light. Might it be possible that you were especially sensitive to light because you already had a migraine coming, instead of the light causing the migraine? Now I only get migraine...

I think the people that think they've stopped "stimming" are mistaken, they just don't realize what forms it's taken. Personally I've realized I've taken some of it into my computer, doing something over and over that yields a predictable result, like opening and closing a window or similar. I'm pr...

You wouldn't catch me in a bar. I went a few times in my past and the only thing that helped was having a drink in my hand (I don't drink normally) and I'd take a sip if I had an awkward pause moment. I also don't hug people - I think I got my first hug at age 18 or so. I didn't like it. I've hugged...
