Your situation sounds a lot like mine was. Can I ask, regarding this friend of yours, how long have you known him? Is he someone you and your parents trust? If so, I wouldn't hesitate to move in with him. You'll probably find things get better after that. (Sounds like your parents are giving you a ...

In the United States, Aspergers, no matter the DSM classification, i.e. "on the spectrum" is a protected classification. Disclose your condition to your employer or potential employer, would be my thought. Knowing your limitations and gifts, employers can make reasonable allowances for yo...

Thing is my parents refuse to believe I have autism and just think I constantly have "my head in a cloud" so they won't help me at all except just telling me to "get with the program" or simply "you can do it". I've since gave up on getting them to help since all it did...

I just hope maybe just maybe I can get a little grocery store job to help pay for stu... |

Exactly and I don't have any hope
What should I do?? No one will hire me and I can't afford to get an official diagnosis so I can access to the services that'll help. I really think I'm s**t out of luck and that suicide might be my only option left |

You are not alone, I feel the same way. The only advice I have is so start something on your own, for me, it´s selling online. I´m sick payed and do it on my "free" time. I think it´s too much focus on job hunting in the general population, it´s everything everyone talks about "what ...

From Tuesday to Thursday, my supervisors suddenly took more notice of the same occasional minor errors I was making, apparently due to pressure from clients who were refusing to work with us anymore, and all of a sudden, I am in danger of being out of work again. I hate when that happens. :( Yeah, ...

So now I may finally have a job lined up at Kroger (a grocery store) but I not hearing anything good about them being good with those with ASD that's making me worry that if I get the job they're gonna think my performance is poor and fire me.

Crap I'm currently applying at Kroger cause they're like the only place in the state of Tennessee that'll basically hire me (if I'm even that lucky). Any other suggestions then if Kroger is really that bad??

Me too. And I can say that I just posed a topic on this, because I have been with a disability job services office, and they do nothing. All they say is "look on Seek" and tell me to hand in evidence of jobs I've applied for. My idea is around retraining, which may help you, too. Retrain ...
