Well, i have a different mindset than other people. I have a different sense of humor. I'm usually talking nonsense. I'm talking shameful things unintentionally. Normal (non autistic) people sometimes mistake my words. Even my expressions, gestures are not normal. People sometimes ask me "why a...

I think autism rate is normal too but awareness is very low and people with high functioning autism just don't know...

I think you're being too hard on yourself. Autism affects social interaction, of course you will feel lonely sometimes! You don't have to judge yourself by other people's standards. If you genuinely want to have friends though, i think focusing on your interests and joining courses or some internet...

I strongly recommend a mentor or a counselor to assist with self-esteem issues and actions you may benefit from. The issues you enumerated are dense and “sticky”. Big changes usually occur slowly. Be prepared for some hard work. Have you read the criteria for social anxiety disorder? ASD provokes a...

Hi all. After some time i'm here again to share a problem. When i start talking with someone or responding to their question, i accidentally reveal my autism. Because they realize my talking is not normal and somehow i'm an atypical person. Probably my facial expression, or gestures are weird. This ...

I have Aspergers syndrome and social anxiety. Nobody openly told me that I'm mentally ill or psychopath. But autism is a mental illness right? So am I a psychopath? When someone commits an offense like murder, people label them as psychopath or sociopath. I doubt if this category includes autistic p...

I reread my post and I agree with you, it could definitely come of as saying you are not suffering, I sincerely apologize that was not my intent. I have been reading a lot about neuro programming, I wasn't trying to imply you are imagining your suffering, but to try looking for positive in new peop...

Yes, I'm an internet addict. I can't leave my phone. I need to prepare for university exam right now. But technology takes my time. I sleep late, usually between 1-2 AM. What do I do on my phone? Nothing really. I check social media and forums. Except this site, I'm member of a turkish forum website...
