I’m very possessive of things. It’s actually a real hindrance. One example. I got a new car recently and hadn’t sold my old car. Which meant my old car was in my spot in the driveway. I couldn’t move it out of the way and it was driving me nuts that I couldn’t park in my proper spot. Thankfully I so...

Hi. So I have mental health problems as well as aspergers which manifests in different ways. In the past I’ve self harmed for a variety of reasons - sometimes mental health related and sometimes autism related. I’ve managed to get the mental health self harm under control and only ever do it if I’m ...

Voldemort - how often do you get ECT treatments? I only needed 7 treatments to be symptom free. That was Oct/Nov 2016 and I’ve not had an episode of depression since. Also, if it’s done properly, there aren’t major side effects and complications. There’s a small risk of memory loss, which can somet...

I’d highly recommend talking to your psych about ECT. I suffered for years from depression and tried every class of ad going. Multiple ones. Some worked for a little while and then stopped. Some did nothing and some gave me severe side effects. I was in and out of hospital with schizoaffective disor...

I can’t remember which class of drug it is but when I was on seroxat I got very violent self harm thoughts. I wanted to smash my kneecaps in with a hammer and set myself on fire. It’s perfectly possible for it to be the drug and I suggest you see your dr ASAP to get it looked into! I did and she was...

I took it a few years ago and it was amazing. Unfortunately I had to come off it because my neutrophils dropped to 0.5. But when I was on it my psychosis disappeared and my mood was so much better.

That’s pretty broad but I’ll give you the main gist of it. When I get really unwell with the psychosis I see and hear 3 shadow men who basically tell me the world will end unless I cut off my hand or do a blood sacrifice or something. They send me messages through the tv and write on walls and ceili...

I was on this for almost two years and it worked very well for my psychosis until it stopped working. I had no obvious side effects and was generally very happy with it.

I get this a lot and can get very frustrated when people don't understand me. Especially when I can't think of another way to explain it. I also confuse people with my train of thought. I might see something and a whole process will happen in my brain and I'll comment on the end thought and when I s...

Emetephobia is common in NTs as well as aspies. I used to be pretty bad with it - just a mild case of nausea could make me cry. I'm a lot better now and I also have a NT friend who is very bad. A couple actually. They went as far as to cut foods out of their diet, not eat unless they'd cooked it, pa...

As a child I was a really picky eater. I'm getting braver as an adult and trying new things but it's still a challenge. For me it's mostly texture of food, or how I perceive the texture of a food to be that puts me off. I hate anything that's vaguely powdery - lentils, peas, beans and certain types ...

To those who suffer from mania, I have a question. Do you feel your autism affects the way your mania presents? Eg. I spent years crafting myself so I would 'fit in' and deliberately taught myself how to not draw attention to myself, so when I'm manic I'm still very energetic, flighty and impulsive ...
