Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. And it's so much better with the internet available, than when I was in high school and had to rely on sketchy/outdated atlases/fact books. I am just very much intrigued by geography in general. I'll investigate a particular region for a period, and then move on. I also love...

Thanks for your help and advice, everyone. I decided not to go to San Antonio for Christmas with my husband (Jay) to see his mother and sister. I've been alone for the past two days (and spent my birthday, December 23, alone)--it's been very, very nice. (I'm not entirely alone, though--I have my fou...

Oops--that last message was posted by me, seethaki, not JayShaw. (He was still logged in when I opened up the web browser again--I think he logged in to check his personal messages; he doesn't use the site any more to post on the forums.)

Hi, everyone. This summer, as some of you might know, JayShaw (a mostly-inactive moderator here) and I got married; we had met initially here at WP. The issue is, while Jay has a few AS traits, he is much higher functioning than I am (also, I see more OCPD [Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder]...

Thanks, Dewclaw. :) I did call the ACLU, and they said my case wasn't large enough, or wouldn't affect enough people, for them to use their resources on it. I just submitted my formal complaint to the National Archives' (where I worked) EEO office, so I'll report what happens with that, once I know.

Also, about the driver's license--I'm a U.S. citizen and have never had one. I've always used my passport.

Callista--I think others' advice about community college and then transferring to a four-year school is a good one. When were you diagnosed? If you were struggling at school because of your disability/ies, your suspension was wrongful--it may be too late/too much of a headache to deal with that now,...

I spent the morning walking from room to room in my apartment singing cereal commercial jingles from the '80s and '90s. (Sometimes changing the lyrics to make them more amusing. I'm easily amused.)

By the way, what ever happened to Fruity Marshmallow Crispies? They were wonderful.
