i have indeed lost my ability to speak during stress. specifically, when i am MAD.
also, i've ranged from babbling to full-blown ranting when i have to talk to someone when i'm under stress. |

What she said, and I agree, is how useful to you is the label? What do you want out of calling yourself Asperger's, if that's what you decide to do? I... |

| one thing that totally makes my skin crawl is when ppl's body fluids (i.e. sweat or spit) get on me. my dad is one of those ppl that drips like a faucet when he sweats. i have to work side-by-side with him sometimes, and when he touches me, and he's damp or wet i violently recoil. also...being licke... |

no doubt i'll get flamed to hell and back again for telling you that THC is a lovely way to self-medicate.
but seriously. yeah.
times like this, besides the self-medicating, i just need to empty my head by keeping the hands busy. weaving or knitting is good for that. |

| i just have to learn what each idiom means and file it away for the next time. but in the mean time, i usually can laugh at myself for not catching them...for example: my oldst daughter, also autistic, is an accelerated reader. my mom bought her some new books. my mom told her, "There's some new boo... |

| ................A TV series about someone with AS might be better. That way there’s more time to work with in building a more average AS character. If there is such a thing as an average AS person. seems i remember reading in one of my Tony Attwood books that the main characters i.e. the "aliens" i... |

| your mom sounds EXACTLY like my mom. except my mom tells me that i have an "Addictive Personality". when i asked what the hell that meant, she told me i just get too wrapped up in my obsessions and that i copy everybody and that doesn't mean i am autistic. i think the worst thing about her disbelief... |

| we're the strange neighbors. we don't socialize or come out of the house except to go somewhere. when we are cornered by a neighbor, we kinda bounce around laughing nervously, not making eye-contect. we like our weeds instead of grass. they are prettier, and some make little flowers. |
