In fact, our prehuman ancestors had grown brain size by having by necessity to eat meat as well as plants. Isn't that Lamarckianistic? What dat? Lamarckian evolution, as opp...

Niether the OT, nor the NT, spells out that "only monogamy is allowed". So its hard to argue against it on Biblical grounds. But its hard to argue for it on NT grounds either (though OT kings did have harems). In contrast the Koran actually spells out the rules: Yes polygamy is allowed, but you're ...

Even physiologically, your brain would only be analogous to computer hardware, not software. Not saying, per se, that the soul is just software - although I would suppose that that must be the necessary conclusion for anyone not considering the possibility of the existence of a soul.

http://www.bibleresearch.org/articles/alw2.htm POLYGAMY The vast majority of professing Christians today believe that the Bible teaches that monogamy is the only acceptable form of marriage and that polygamy violates God's law concerning marriage. But is this what the Bible teaches, or is this just ...

Civil disobedience only incurs misdemeanors, not crimes. It may sound like a technicality, but it's actually crucial. It's still hundreds of dollars in legal fees, and thousands in lawyer fees - as per my wife's situation as of a year ago which has me working most weekends to allow her to be free t...

Actually, I wasn't doing any such thing. I'm being quite serious. Okay. Still I rather do what I can within the law and remain a lawful citizen rather than go berserk and just end up on the news as a bad example to not follow or yet another pretext for more nanny state rules. Or you could be a hero...

Wild animals do much better when we humans keep our noses out of their business. That's not true by necessity. It really depends on what methods are employed and what their impacts are. As for teaching and helping animals wild or domestic, how are we supposed to do that? Really I was saying that mo...

They are only good for melee or very short range with practice though, versus bows and arrows and slingshots and other such ranged subsonic projectile weaponry. But, yeah, maybe eventually th...
