Anything specific? I agree with everything Ayn Rand has written, this is why I am interested in what you disagree with. |

When I was 6 years old I was in school and that day the whole class had a party and played music. When I listened to the music and saw how happy everyone was I started to cry but I was not sad. I did not know why I was crying. The teacher came to me and asked why I was crying, I could not explain wh... |

Re-Listen to the video, it seems you have not understood the meaning of sacrifice. |

Your statement contradicts an objectivist principle of "mutual benefit". |

I read somewhere that her idea of the "perfect man" was a convicted child murderer. He literally took what he wanted from the world with no thought for morality or human compassion, and that's what she looked up to. That says all I need to know about her personal philosophy and where it s... |

Some of these arguments against Ayn Rand are contradictory to Ayn Rands philosophy. Maybe they are interpreting Ayn Rand through the lens of another philosophy. |

Take a deeper look into what you mean by excuse. |

I wanted to know if anyone has this experience. When normal people talk about religion or politics, I feel lots of frustration because they seem to not listen to my arguments that they are wrong. However, only in "the wrong planet" forums I do not feel that way at all when someone is relig... |

But I think you might need a larger dataset to draw any solid conclusions. Yes, there are too many holes. I had a fascinating idea today, but it may turn out to be nothing. I started wondering if the core of the problem was that we cannot "keep up" with the incoming information and change... |

I think what you described as stress about the other people is not stress. Stress is when you reach a point of "being out of resources", such as (using an autism example) sensory overload or (using an NT version) having homework due and there being no possible way to get it done, or using ... |

I am always using literal humor with my children.
I told me 17 year old daughter "Why is an elevator only named for half of what it does?". I also bug here about saying "kind of" when she really means "exactly is". |

FYI - I posted a new thread with my initial observations and thoughts. I do not regard this as complete at all and may have errors, but I posted it to get feedback. I still need many more meltdown and non-meltdown cases, there are still too many holes. Here is a link to the thread with my thoughts t... |

I had started a thread to analyze a meltdown. Below are my thoughts so far, this is not complete and may even be incorrect. I would like to post this to get feedback. In addition, I still would like people to post their meltdowns and non-meltdowns (happy life) to the thread here (http://wrongplanet.... |

I'm kind of borderline on the spectrum, sitting on the boundary fence you might say, and not sure whether I have real meltdowns, as such. But I do find I can go from feeling OK to extremely upset or frustrated in an instant. At work it tends to be frustration with things not going to plan, like com... |

A time I had a meltdown: I had just run a race and after the race everyone funneled into this kind of 'holding pen' where there were drinks and food etc. I was trying to find my way out, it was very crowded and for some reason I ended up going round and round in circles. Something flipped and I end... |
