Drunk/impaired men find me anyway in "safe" spaces. Would you also suggest I never go to my school campus, take the train, see a concert, go to the grocery store, take a walk in my neighborhood? Because I have been cornered in all of those places by random drunk/impaired men who, by your ...

An autistic guy friend of mine is happily married and has three kids. He was quite successful with women prior to getting married, too. He had lots of hookups and short / longterm relationships starting in late high school.

Well put, CF. There have been times in my life where police intervention or the involvement of social services would have put my life at risk by other people. Every situation is different but it seems we’re doing the best we can by directing people to safe spaces, and giving them an anonymous place ...

+1 to the above two posts. Maybe more but I didn't read through all of this. Not trying to be a snubby jerk or anything. Just those two made me go yup. I know for myself, it took me going to a team of people at the UofM because of my trauma past. It can be hard to pick apart what is trauma based an...

My cupboards are strangely overflowing, but unfortunately I’ve spent so much time at hospital or my partner’s that nearly everything is spoiled, expired, freezer-burnt, or old takeaway. That’s despite the fact I cleaned the fridge recently and crammed some of it back in. Cold pizza anyone? It’s nice...

I'm dealing with much the same regarding my 85-year old autistic mother in cognitive decline.
There's no help and I don't know what to do except hospital for her physical ailments.
She's not even safe there.

It's horrible we have no government support at any age.

Bump To counter some of the harsh things posted lately about groomers and predators, I thought I'd make a thread to celebrate the good men in our lives and the good things they've done. This is for all members to post short comments about any man (including transmen) in our lives who have made the w...

Bump I've noticed there's a lot of talk and research lately about autistic women masking. The research makes it seem like masking and social pressure for conformity only apply to women. In my opinion, the onslaught of "women's autism" information suggests that autistic girls and women are ...
