I will be happy to see (and hear) the word "Asperger's" go. If it were called by another name, I might be a bit more sentimental. I have a strong aversion to the name "Asperger's". It sounds so ridiculous it's almost an embarrassment or joke to say I have it. Besides, I have done research of my own...

The Union itself is not the problem. My Local of UE has been supportive. Neurodiversity (ND) is a new concept to them, but they are a very inclusive union, and they could be a crack in the NT wall through which society is introduced to ND. We both are very much for social justice, my Union as their ...

I was afraid that my post was an instant thread killer. Thanks for a studied reply. I was hoping that others here saw this as an other way to address the problems we have with getting out the message. My convention is in the middle of September, so there is time to have a cooperative effort on this....

I have been elected by my Union sisters and brothers to be among the representatives sent by Local 506 of United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America, or UE, to our biannual national convention. One of my assignments is on the Resolutions Committee, which helps set policy for our Union. ...

ZNG,

I think you understand where I am coming from. Yes, it would be fair to charge me the fee for putting my dryer back into the stock, but at least I would think that I would get the remainder or have to pay the 15% to get a new one.

Is that you on the bike?

Thanks for the input. I'm going to try some of the ideas. Clarifications: They do still stock that dryer. That is what I really want is the dryer. At first, I took so long because I lost the slip. I do this all the time, I eventually find everything I misplace. Every once in a while, I would tear in...

Last March, (2008), I bought four appliances from Sears. I only picked up three of them then, but because I lost a receipt, I did not go to pick up the fourth until a month ago (May 2009). I had lost track of my receipt. Finally, last month I brought my self to Sears, with a receipt I found for the ...

Try The Moody Blues or Emerson Lake and Palmer on for size. But, if talking about the best known of the genre, all my money (and a good portion of my CD collection) would be on Yes.

For my first forty eight years, life had been a combination of disasters and miracles. I had no idea why my life was so unlike EVERYBODY else in the world. I was the smartest person anyone knew, by their own admission. But, I could never Keep A Job, because I never understood the politics of the wor...

I am participating, myself. (algernon?) Mark Dear Mark, My name is Bianca Love and I am currently a seni...

According to my quick check on wiki, the Leopard tank, made in the 1960's, was rated at 40 mph, while the Tiger I tank was rated at 23 mph. Either one could ram stuff, but I don't know what their rpm's were.

Suggestions are made for showing exceptional autistics. How about a day in the lives of autistics who do everyday things? Raising families and holding jobs. Day-care workers, teachers, truck or cab drivers, chefs, IT workers, etc. See if the hopeful messages are allowed on the Autism Speaks site. I...
