You likely don’t need to see anyone. I’ve been fixing my posture lately and your body adapts pretty quickly. You just need to think about it throughout the day and reset yourself. I’ve had excellent results taking responsibility for my own health.

I was reading a book about interoception and one of the exercises they suggest to improve interoceptive awareness is to get a heart rate monitor and you can train yourself to become aware of your heart beating. I found a device CorSense that measures HRV and I plan to buy one soon and try it out. I ...

I’ve never liked the way beards look on guys and yes stubble does hurt! I’m bi and I like boys who are more feminine. I don’t think any of my boyfriends have even been capable of growing a beard.

Bamboo sheets and duvet covers are also wonderful. I buy bamboo material and sew my own stuff.

I used to have a strong smell when I had a lot of yeast in my system. Now that my gut is healthier I have no smell at all.

I took sulforaphane daily for years as part of a supplement to help me metabolize estrogen. The supplement worked really well for that, which is why I took it for so long. The study above involved only men (moderate to severe) and mentioned that they thought it might work better in autistic people w...

^ I’m the same. When I was a teenager I showered and washed and styled my hair every day. All the other girls were so into clothes so I tried it out for a while too. Now I shower when I need to, wash my hair twice a week and never style it. I wear my same old comfortable clothes until they fall apar...

I’ve been working on my posture lately too. The top of my spine was out of alignment and my muscles compensated and my hips and shoulders were uneven and twisted. I had bad posture habits from years of dance classes too: pulling in and holding my abdomen tight and holding my chest so upright that I ...

I’ve been reading about pelvic floor health recently and I guess it’s pretty common for people to have issues here. Many things can contribute to the dysfunction: poor posture, stress/anxiety, constipation, trauma, chronic pain. If you don’t have access to a pelvic floor physiotherapist there is qui...

I only make these involuntary weird sounds/noises/sentence fragments/swear words when I’m thinking about some embarassing social thing that I’ve done. My boyfriend and I both work from home so he’s the one that hears me and he used to question me when it happened. I just told him I’d prefer if he wo...

I get embarassed/feel stupid when I misinterpret things and also when someone asks me a question and I pause for too long to let my processing catch up. I used to mask so I wouldn’t feel stupid and was in denial that these situations happened in my life. After learning about AS I starting paying att...

I have 1 cup in the morning and usually 1 matcha green tea in the afternoon. I gave up coffee when trying different diets to improve my health issues but didn’t notice any positive changes so I’m sticking with it.
