INFP-T "If they are not careful, Mediators can lose themselves in their quest for good and neglect the day-to-day upkeep that life demands. " "Left unchecked, Mediators may start to lose touch, withdrawing into “hermit mode" I'm a master procrastinator, currently in hermit mode. ...

After this New Years eve I doubt I'll be going to one again, or any other public setting for that matter. I'd get groceries delivered to my door if I could. You can stay out of society for months and build up some naivety about the kindness of your fellow man, only to meet the brutal truth when you ...

I would wear a hat with autist on it if people would leave me alone.

Being creative and using imagination as entertainment doesn't have to be for children I wish more people realized this. It seems pretty petty to be condescending towards someone who enjoys other interests than yourself. I'd argue that enjoying American football isn't more intellectually stimulating...

You look perfectly normal and friendly. If you want to change the aesthetic of your face, you can pick up weight lifting. I used to be very self conscious about my boyish looks, but have gotten more masculine features from strength training. It can also help with your confidence, so that you don't o...

The smell of coffee makes me nauseous and I get anxiety when I drink it. I can drink lots of tea and even preworkout drinks that have a lot of caffeine without getting anxious. I've always wondered whether it was psychosomatic or something in the coffee that I respond negatively too.

I overheat like a nuclear reactor and my upper neck turns to concrete.
Working on it though.

I bought the Star wars jedi challenges VR headset with a light saber controller. I was embarrassed in the store, but laughed with the clerk about it. Then another clerk showed up and told me he wanted to buy the $2000 Lego millenium falcon which made me feel better about myself. There's nothing wron...

Maybe strength training? Learning the function and pathway of every muscle and putting it into practice can be fascinating and rewarding. It's also great for ADHD in my experience.

Thanks a lot for your input! I will try your approaches. I've been using more of a stick than a carrot approach to little avail. I'm also terrible at integrating a "win", which would probably help my self image a lot.

I grew up in a messy house with artist parents and a parrot that would constantly grind up stuff and throw it all over the floor, so there was always debris to be found on the floor. The worst sensation I know is dirty or moist socks, so to expose them to as little surface area as possible I walked ...

I was just diagnosed with ADHD and aspergers and have been struggling with procrastination all of my life. I cannot force myself to do something until the very last possible moment, even if I know I will be better off doing it right away. The circuitry seems so hard wired in my mind, that I cannot t...

I was diagnosed at 29 and it has been a tremendous relief to know that I'm not alone and finally understanding my own mind better. It has been hard not to be a bit resentful that it wasn't caught earlier, since I've just felt like an a**hole my entire adult life and alienated all my friends. It woul...

I'm sorry if this is the wrong section to post this, but I thought I would share what a beacon of light my philips hue system has been this winter. I live in a place where it's currently pitch black at 2PM and it has always affected my mood. I'm also a sucker for gadgets and automation. Being able t...
