I don't wander. But.. I wonder I wah wah wah wonder where....all of you (getting lost prone folks) will stay-a-ay My little runaways. Run run run run runaways. (apologies to singer Del Shannon) OK, now you and Kraftiekourie have both dragged me back here just to see you free-associating. Please, tr...

My husband would likely be better at counseling you than myself. I can say that if you are feeling ignored while she is hyper-focused, gently let her know that you need some attention, and allow a time-frame for her to finish whatever she is focused on. If she is not mentally ready to be finished, y...

While I understand that you may be looking more for male solidarity than female critique, I have found a small inconsistency that you may not be aware of. My reply rate is probably under 1%. That is for every 100 average women of healthy weights I send a message to, maybe just 1 has the courtesy to ...

I would think that if you discarded your beloved pet in favor of a new beau, it would show this prospective partner your true regard for loved ones in your life. If this partner is worthwhile, they would never expect such an act from you. If the partner is ok with it, it would be informative: they a...

I have wondered before whether my husband would be happier with a neuro-typical person, but I have to remind myself that he was/is attracted to me for who I am, and that includes my peculiarities. The thing that alleviates my stress on this topic the most is when I am able to communicate my thoughts...

I end up going non-verbal and wandering mostly when I'm in large stores. They tend to completely overwhelm me within about thirty minutes, depending on the population of the store. My mom will often tell me the story of when we were shopping when I was young, and I quietly wandered off to later be f...

I did until I found out that a snowflake requires a particulate from the atmosphere to begin forming, which essentially means that there is a small amount of "dirt" at the center of each flake. It lost its appeal after that.

You are so correct about suppressing it. I have been on the verge of a meltdown for three days now. I keep suppressing it and the rage keeps resurfacing. I live in an apartment complex is the only reason I haven't released this rage on a door or a wall, I don't want to get kicked out. I like your a...

I knew plenty of "girl-nerds" growing up. I tended to be attracted to them. There was one on a show called "Dobie Gillis." One character was a "nerdy-smart" high school girl who liked this guy named Dobie, who was sort of a klutz, yet conventionally good-looking. I use...

Before I learned to manage better, I used to hit/kick holes in hollow doors, bang my head against the wall behind me, or damage drywall across from me with my heels. I commonly sought refuge in tight spaces, such as in my closet. Try to be in a safe space where you don't need to be concerned with ot...

As a child, my special interests included things like books, rocks, and shells, which most would consider "normal" interests for a young girl. I learned to mask other special interests, like Pokémon, once I figured out that they made me stand out as "nerdy." (Hiding was a common ...
