Yes, Tibergrace, terrifying. My own mind threw at me everything I fear, and amplified because I had become insensitive to, and uncaring of, ordinary pain and fear. Apparently there was more existential fear than I had ever imagined locked up in me. The beginning of the madness was a manic kind of j... |

I am asexual but it has literally nothing to do with my autism. It stems from other things for me. |

That's a great description, shadowself. The whole internal-turmoil thing leading to psychosis. I experienced psychosis at the peak of years worth of trauma. Having my bones broken, being beaten and raped daily, emotionally abused, I could go on and on. It became too much, I feel like my mind could n... |

A restraining order can make it so she isn't allowed to contact you (or your brother) in any way, even through third parties. |

You should just leave him be, worry about your own problems. It's not wise to put other people's problems on your own plate. |

My therapist is a really nice old lady. I'm in therapy for dealing with my PTSD. Until recently we've been doing EMDR therapy, but the traumatic memories started to attach themselves to my "happy place" memories, so we stopped for the time being. Last session I basically just talked about ... |

What types of symptoms would you personally say you have experienced? There's a big difference between just having some psychotic symptoms e.g. seeing, smelling, feeling, hearing something that isn't there, and having full blown break-from-reality-and-rational-thought psychosis. Both of these things... |

If one is not interested in "specifically feminine" interests, it does not equate to that person being "unfeminine." I don't find an interest Tolkien particularly "masculine." In fact, as a kid, I thought literature was something that "girls" liked. And what ... |

Question is can you handle my coffee? I like the blackest black of the brew prepared, with no sugar or any-other crap. Yet seems no one can make it that strong...please find me extra strong coffee. Ever tried a sludge cup? It's black coffee with espresso shots poured in. It's like coffee on steroids. |

Depression is a common sequel of traumatic stress. Many studies on trauma victims have verified this, whereas the "chemical imbalance" theory has no definitive research to back it up, despite what Big Pharma does to create that impression. Depression is also common while being subjected t... |

I've never bitten anyone else, but I do regularly bite the inside of my cheeks. I have some scar tissue inside my mouth from doing it, I've had multiple dentists and dental hygienists comment on it. As far as meltdowns go, I'm not sure whether I have them or not. I will sometimes get in this weird s... |

I usually am too lost in my own thoughts to notice the small talk of others, lol. Sometimes other people's conversations will throw me off when I'm in conversation though, just because it makes it harder to focus on the person talking to me. Really depends on the circumstance. |

I have had some distinctly unfeminine special interests. In high school I was totally obsessed with Tolkien's works. For a couple years I went around always carrying one of his books with me. I reread all of the ones I could get my hands on, so much that they started to fall apart. I got made fun of... |

Definitely get her the pink heaphones, even if they don't seem like the logical choice. It's all about the appearance, she likely cares little about the sound quality. |

I regularly apply lavender essential oil to my neck and wrists multiple times a day. One of my favorite scents easily. I also use a lot of eucalyptus-spearmint scented lotion, and I'll usually sniff my hands after I apply it to myself. |
