Some claim it was one of the first glimpses to 911 and war on terror. Speaking of this comparison, both sides are hypocritical: --- Russia is hypocritical for acknowledging Chechnya terrorism while denying Iran's threat --- West is hypocritican in acknowledging Irans threat and denying Chechnya ter... |

Back in Soviet time, there were different "Republics". Russia was one of the "republics" of Soviet Union, Ukraine was another one. In any case, prior to Khruschev, Krimea was part of a "republic" of Russia. Khruschev made it into a "republic" of Ukraine. Sinc... |

By definition, you can't be NT and OCD at the same time. OCD causes repetitive thoughts and behaviors which, in practice, look like the obsessions and ritualized behaviors found in autism. Parents who have a kid who keeps talking about the same subject over and over and who goes into a screaming me... |

[ Its weird that brain scans in this study cant distinguish between ASD & OCD since there is a world of difference between them. is there? My ASD son has OCD; I don't think of these as distinct at all. Rather, OCD seems to describe a specific cluster of his behaviors. While there are overlappin... |

Actually this only extends my autism analogy further. Part of the reason women don't talk to me is because some men rape women. But guess what: I am not one of them, and never will be. Which further makes this "analogy" irrelevant. We're not talking about individuals, I'm okay with indivi... |

"Anagnostou and her colleagues had set out to use neuroimaging to identify brain differences unique to ASD, as compared to other neurodevelopmental differences like ADHD, OCD, and intellectual disability. And they did find that brain differences clustered into different groups—but not<diagnosi... |

So the diagnosis of autism is just a temporary label that will one day be scrapped in favor of a more appropriate sub group Evidence, please? Google autism genes and many will come up. Some people have one others two or more. Most will have none because they are in the majority where their autism i... |

Pay attention to Magz, comrades; she and her family have live through the Cold War AND Soviet rule. Anything she says about either one can be trusted. I accept the bad things the Russians did at the start of WW2 to Poland and during the Cold War. But at the end of the day if a nuke hits your city a... |

Autism is so heterogeneous some 20% is caused by different genes so even by those facts it’s obvious there are more than one autism.
So the diagnosis of autism is just a temporary label that will one day be scrapped in favor of a more appropriate sub group |

Russia sees Nazism as hatred of Russians only nothing to do with Jews. In other words - paint whoever does not like me, for a good reason or not, as nazi. Handy. No responsibility for all the harm I did when those who hold a grudge against me are nazi by definition. Ain't it nice? When the new styl... |

Don't paint Ukraine with a "Nazi" brush. The populace of Ukraine is not primarily Nazi-----or nearly Nazi. There are certainly neo-Nazi militias in Ukraine. Alas, we have neo-Nazi militias in the US, too. The President of Ukraine is Jewish. The populace knew he was Jewish when they voted ... |

There is no such thing as ASD as a single isolated condition that can be seen under a microscope or blood test. ASD itself is just an old 1940s name of a group of symptoms science can only explain in about 20% of cases where there is a clear genetic cause. It’s so heterogeneous that treating it indi... |

But Ukraine has no strategic interest in going deep into Russian territory, so this scenario is very unlikely. They have their own territories to regain, with supportive population. That's much easier than hostile occupation, way more understood, accepted and generally rational. After regaining pre... |
