That would be a very strange sight.Have you ever seen a solar eclipse? I don't remember. I think I did once but the weather was bad and the sky was overcast. But I am not really sure. One very smart person used his knowledge of solar eclipses to predict one would occur of 1 March 1504. I think I ev...

Our county is about to be invaded. Thousands of people are coming and will almost double the size of our county. They want to see a Solar Eclipse and it will pass right over us.

All the Porta Potties have been taken. My wife is trying to buy some solar eclipse safety glasses.

You wrote, "I can tell that everyone feels somewhat unnerved by my presence, like I'm not being convincingly human enough. Does that make sense at all? " That makes a lot of sense to me. People make eye to eye contact. But I do not. In the case of NTs, they quickly judge a person by their ...

First off, welcome to the site. I read your initial post. You introduced yourself as having Asperger's syndrome. So do I. But then you went on to say you were part of the Alterhuman community. I never heard of that before so I looked it up on the internet. Here is a link: Alt-H (The Alterhuman Advoc...

IIRC, all iterations of the "apple a day" rhyme were advertisement jingles written to help apple orchards to sell more apples, by making them seem critically healthy in the same manner that a lemon could prevent scurvy - which was still relevant back then, vs now. "An apple a day&quo...

Apples were definitely a cheap source of vitamins for the early American settlers. But in the case of Wales, in the early industrial revolution comprised some of the poorest souls in the British isles (along with Ireland). Poverty mean't reliance on monocultures (Irish reliance on potatoes). Likely...

Welcome to Wrong Planet. Music and songs are stored in the right half of the human brain. You are the way you are because you are a right side of your skull dominant brain. Normally verbal and written communications is stored in the left half of the brain. But some of us die early and our brains str...

Welcome to Wrong Planet.

Write a little bit more about yourself. You live in Rome, Italy. You are a man who is 53 years old. You live in a part of the world that has several deep cracks in the earth that from time to time break and cause great explosions on the planet.

Another winter storm. Last night it snowed 4.5 inches. My wife and I went out and cleaned off some of the snow from the steep side of my driveway. I couldn't tell how cold it is because my outdoor monitor is covered in snow and I have lost communications with it. I do not think it is below 0 degrees...
