The problem with advice, for Aspies, is that the person receiving it may be so focused on the advice that they distance themselves from the object of their desires. In other words, try being present and genuine with your crush. Another problem with advice on a forum for autistic people is some of i...

So it's happened... I have a crush on someone. First time since middle school. Here's where the question comes in. I'm awkward AF and I get super flustered, but this guy says I'm cute and adorable, so the crush is kind of mutual. So uh... how do I handle these feelings? It's weird, but a good weird....

I saw that Alex Plank was speaking at an autism conference in my city, so I signed up to go. I knew it would be long and difficult, but I thought it would be tolerable, because actually autistic people would be there. However, it was barely tolerable. I had to leave at the lunch break due to migrai...

Remember to find a way to celebrate your diagnosis day every year! It helps remind you what you are able to accomplish.

I'll have to do that! And it'll be easy to remember because it's also my moms birthday-day.

Well I had my consultation with the psychologist today, and my reports came back with diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder (Provisional due to ASD). I feel like this huge weight has finally been lifted off my shoulder. I'm no longer a below-average neurotypical, I'm a br...

Is anyone else obsessed or at least really interested in puppetry? This is a recurring interest that comes back around everyonce in a while, and it's just an amazing artform overall.

I only went because I was in the marching band, and it was required for us to go. If I wouldn't have been in band, then no, I wouldn't have gone to any games.

...I'm kinda worried that I masked too much, and that it's gonna com back with nothing and that this whole thing was a waste of time (but maybe I'm just worrying too much). I wondered the same thing about masking given that I learned to mask at about age 5 years, and my practicum student diagnostic...

Well done for getting through it, I didn't really like it so much when I did it. The storytelling part was the worst, but it wasn't terrible. Just a little mortifying. I hope you get your IQ results and let us know them, if you don't mind a little prying and being nosy. :D I don't mind being nosy, ...

I finally had my psychological evaluation a couple days ago. It took forever (6 hours to complete everything). First I had to do an IQ test. I had to put some blocks together into different patterns (really easy). Then I had to tell the similarities between two words (not as easy...). I also had to ...
