I was touched by the storyline of the movie "Extinction." I don't want to spoil anything about it for anyone. All I want to say is that I think we could avoid a lot of trouble if we treated all conscious beings with kindness or respect (at least). As a kid I tried to have consideration for...

@SabbraCadabra
I admit it, I miss my GI Joe action figures. I had them up until I moved overseas. Flint was my favorite and his joints just weren't what they used to be. But I also wore out poor Airborne and Gung-Ho. I liked Lady Jaye and Scarlett, too.

@Magna Agreed--less noise would be pleasant.

@Fnord Just imagine where we would be now! And VR is kinda of like baby steps toward a holodeck.

@Joe90 Yep--what gives with cigarette companies doing "stop smoking" campaigns anyway?

[quote="lostonearth35" Well I thought free universal health care was the thing needed the most. How can you put a price on a human life and then just leave them to die if they can't afford it? I have never understood that. . :([/quote] Amen. I l had a friend in the US who was kicked out of...

Yep, used to not mind riding in the backseat of a car or sitting backwards on the bus, now I get nauseated. It's exhausting, too. Driving or front seat is not bad, but not always possible. Tricks that work for me: *chewing really flavorful gum even if it means swapping pieces every five minutes to r...

FDC Nutri or Solgar are good brands for me. I used to thrive with Nature's Alive, but they aren't available where I live now. I can distinctly feel a difference if I don't take vitamins. It may be because I take a proton pump inhibitor that is known to reduce the body's ability to absorb certain vit...

I know this is an older thread but I've had a recent discovery. I never had noise-cancelling headphones before but I do now. And WOW what a difference they make! So I move to this big apartment building with construction nearby and barking dogs and children running and screaming up and down the stai...

I admire you if you can live without masking or camouflaging. I'm just now spotting the things I do to fit in socially. (Not like I really fit in, but you know...at least behave "acceptably." Worse, I moved to a foreign country where the culture is to be sociable. And I belong to a big fam...
