Forum: Random Discussion   Topic: Do we want ''bad men'' as role models ?

I seem to think some good role models that should be looked into are not just sports-people or business-people but also artists (e.g. Da Vinci, Van Gogh), people who developed cures to save lives (e.g. Edward Jenner), people who were behind computers and the internet (e.g. Alan Turing, Tim Berners-L...

I think the point of promoting a thing is to get people to do it who aren’t doing it. If everyone is already doing it, there’s no point in promoting it. If you’re promoting it and people still aren’t doing it, well, apparently either you aren’t very good at promoting or your thing is dreadful. As f...

Another thing is, what if someone is not in a very good financial situation ? And if that is the case, is it always a good idea for a person to rush having child regardless of whether their financial situation is good or bad and whether you are wealthy, quite wealthy or poor ?

I had dinner earlier without even saying anything at the table again, with people wondering why I'm not talking much and won't sit still at the table and then walked out of the living room while other people were still eating to wash up and then did that and then when went straight to back to my roo...

I remember someone saying about the idea of trying to promote the idea of having children to both women and men in the early 20s because they were concerned about the ''worrying'' trend of people putting it off and off and because of the fact that women and men in their 40s and over are having more ...

I'm sort of feeling as though I shouldn't really care how many people are on my ''friends'' list on social media or how many followers I have. So what if you don't have such a large following of people, surely that shouldn't make you look as unpopular or unlikable as its been made out to be. I'm a b...

I was rather shocked upon hearing about gas company debt collectors deciding to break into the homes of vulnerable people when payments are overdue. It has made my blood boil. I just think to myself ''Is this what the world has come to now ?''. I have been a bit sick of hearing about price rises, st...

I always seem to think you have to try and fit in everything always when you are young. Its like you have to fit driving your own car, a relationship, sex, travelling, peaking at a job or business, etc all in one decade. I seem to think I see all around me even though I clearly don't know what's goi...

I seem to feel like all the striking and the news of the UK having the one of the worst recovering economies in the world as led me to want to avoid the news again and cut myself off from it. All I seem to be hearing is more bad news and nothing seems to be resolved or improvements made.

I seem to think that some of those adverts make you want to enjoy everything and over-indulge. Maybe I am exaggerating a little bit but that is how it feels. I seem to find myself not feeling 100% happy or content when you are given a multitude of different choices to have. By choosing one of them, ...

I seem to feel like like at times I'm bombarded by adverts and images of people doing things like hiking, parachute gliding, going to far away places etc and feel like those are things I SHOULD be doing before you get to old age as a way to show that you have ''lived''. The thing is I do like for ex...

Many would argue that other leaders in history such as Stalin and Mao caused millions more deaths than Hitler but unlike him they were given state funerals after they died. The only other leader I can think of that is universally hated is probably Pol Pot and even he unlike Hitler has a grave but it...

I don't know why he even still has large following of fans despite that.

I seem to find myself wanting to be scared by watching a really scary horror film or watch some documentary about ghost stories and stuff like that. I remember watching the Japanese horror film Ju-on: the Grudge and it did take me a while to get to sleep afterwards. I also have seen a series of prog...
