I just now noticed that, in some old posts containing "youtube" tags, the videos are no longer displayed. Has the ability to show videos been permanently disabled, or is this a temporary glitch?

Glad WP is back.

I hope most of the old members from several months ago are able to re-discover it.

The way I look at it the only reason I use social media is in order to look for a girlfriend. If a website kicks me off for breaking the rules by doing that then they served no purpose to me anyways. Some websites, such as Wrong Planet, don't have a rule against looking for a girlfriend per se , bu...

Hmmm, I now see another, different post of yours that contains what might be a ray of hope: That said I still know how to have fun. I still work harder than anyone else I have ever known at having fun. Fun is what I am all about. What kinds of fun? What kinds of activities do you like to do, and/or ...

What book are you referring to? Perhaps this one, which you inconspicuously linked to way back here?

I have learned time and again that my values and way of thinking are very unique and isolating. This has been a real struggle in my life. Many avenues of life I used to think I would be able to participate in have been shut off to me. What are some of these many avenues of life that have been shut ...

There will never be a great socialism now that there are too many libertarians, anarchists, and other non-ML tendencies standing in the way with their united front ever more powerful to keep capitalism satisfied. But they'll say that socialism "harmed people". It didn't. The reason why th...

Additionally, forced labor is allowed in the prison system, and we have, alas, the world's highest prison population. I don't see a single person in America complaining. There are plenty of people here in the U.S.A who complain about both our prison-system itself and our over-reliance on it. Some r...

Of the countries you listed, only 2 are stable hubs for international business and holiday/tourism Türkiye USA Slavery in the above relates only to sex trafficking. Türkiye women trafficked from eastern Europe, and in USA mostly Latin American. No, modern slavery in the USA is NOT limited to sex tr...

Some are already distancing themselves. The important question is how many more will distance themselves before it is too late. Some yes, but not enough. What if it's already too late and some of the damage is already irreversible? America's former allies are already planning around the US, the dam...

Hopefully people with that much money, who refrain from vacationing in Dubai on ethical grounds rather than economic necessity, will also donate some of their spare change (and/or some of their spare time) to groups that oppose similarly abusive labor practices in their own home countries. Yes, agr...

The following section of Anti-Slavery International's FAQ page is especially relevant to the current thread: Does Anti-Slavery International encourage boycotts of brands or products? We very rarely, if ever, join the calls to boycott specific companies or goods. Boycotts can actually make the situat...

"Modern slavery" or "slavery in the 21st century" is in some ways very different from the kind of slavery that existed existed before slavery (or "involuntary servitude") was (mostly) outlawed by many countries back in the 19th century. Back then, slavery was supported ...

Likewise, it doesn't matter which knot has bound other self-identified conservatives to the MAGA movement, so long as they continue to support it they're part of the problem. Someday they might attempt to distance themselves from the movement out of guilt and shame but right now they're active cont...

One important question is: What portion of self-identified conservatives actually agree with these sentiments? kokopelli would likely say that these people are not true conservatives, but radical reactionaries. And, in the most literal sense of the word "conservative," he would be correct....
