I appreciate the first part with the A,B,C that's helpful but on I the last part about avoiding the "How should I handle this?" seems a little critical on your part. Besides, isn't wrong planet a place where we are supposed to help each other out? My question is not dumb, in fact, people ...

How do I stop being an open book to people? Generally, I am a people person. being open does not mean you must spill your guts to people you hardly know. A) "Too much information" (TMI) is a turn off to a lot of people esp ones you barely know B) some people might use TMI against you C) S...

This evening, I ran into some neighbors who were chatting and I went to say "Hello" which was fine at first until I let the cat out of the bag about having a disability and how I want to drive. I also mentioned what my goals are, which are moving closer to the city when. When one of my ne...

I may or may not have ASD- I'm still on a wait list (but I believe I may come out NOS). The NOS diagnosis was in the DSM 4 but now, under DSM 5, they no longer have it. They just have ASD with three different levels. Or are you saying you are in Europe so they use ICD 10? I'm pretty sure no one bot...

Thanks everyone for your comments. He is not diagnosed properly no, but I think there is no doubt really. I have done the things suggested, explained carefully and calmly. He broke it off not me - I tried exceptionally hard to save us - albeit before we recognised the Asperger’s so not always in th...

Maybe they think you like being single. If I like being single my whole life -- as opposed to just preferring it at the moment -- then it is abnormal, isn't it. So the question is "why" are they willing to assume this about me? And what makes it even more frustrating is that I am being mi...

"What I meant was that, if I never dated, it presumably implies I am undatable, and the latter is the reason why they wouldn't set me up." that's not the 1st or even 3rd conclusion most ppl jump to about someone unless maybe he's got a horrific or toxic personality. Maybe they think you li...

as for the rest I couldn't tell you but you should stop letting it take up head space - this one encounter is not worth any more thought The reason I am thinking about it is that if she assumed I was single my whole life, others might be assuming it too. And, if so , that might be part of the reaso...

This wasn't a discussion about your ex, it was about you not mentioning you had a GF. Very different things. I guess to me it's not "very different things": I tend to be long winded so "if" I "mention" something, I would have a "discussion" about it, too. Per...

This wasn't a discussion about your ex, it was about you not mentioning you had a GF. Very different things. Talking about an ex, esp on a date or the very early stages of communication, implies you (generic you) still have feelings for her, good or bad. It implies you have not moved past her. And i...

"But why would she doubt my interest in her if I was clearly obsessing over her -- as evident from my repeated texts? But then again, as paradoxic as it is, she probably was -- since I was in this situation with other girls too when I was obsessing over them yet they were doubting my interest. ...
