I found it too easy on normal difficulty. Hardcore is ridiculous though, especially the sewer boss. There needs to be an inbetween difficulty

Was this really down to server issues or what? Consoles are increasingly losing their main benefits (ie. one set of hardware that just works, no messing about) but this is even worse. Even if whatever infrastructure exists craps out you can still get on your computer and presumably PS4.

Platinum have been working on a Granblue Fantasy action game, which should be out soon. Platinum have had a tough time what with the cancelled Xbox game, but regardless, they haven't developed a genuinely good game since Revengeance or Bayo 2 imo (I haven't played the latter yet because I don't own...

One thing: Don't assume that any given game will be better simply because you try it on a different console. Ports are NOTORIOUS for being bad. Some are outright legendary for it. If you didn't like a game on one console, or if it had a bunch of problems, it is likely to be no better on another (an...

Sekiro is a given for me; Bloodborne is my favourite game of all time and I'm interested to see how From changes up the formula. I'm really happy that they refused to go on indefinitely with Dark Souls and want to evolve their work, although I'll admit that I miss the mystique of Demon's Souls and (...

stuff about DQ11 DQ11 is one of those games that, in retrospect, I can barely remember playing and I can't for the life of me figure out the appeal of this series. I'm not going to get into the mechanics much, but the main problems imo are: - the game is easy until the very last optional content - ...

I've been obsessively playing through the Danganronpa games. Monokuma is probably my favourite videogame character now!

Alright all, what are your favourite games this year? I haven't played that many games this year, to be honest, so my list will be quite limited. Feel free to list your top X number of games or just your favourite game of the year, whatever! 4. Dragon Quest 11 This is my first Dragon Quest game and,...

The greatest horror experience in videogames and the greatest emotional trip that I've experienced in any media. Even if you disagree with my experiences, I'm surely not the only one who thinks that Silent Hill 2 is a masterpiece. Is there anything about the game that you think isn't noticed or appr...

Cuphead is excellent. Some of the battles have flaws that will leave you frustrated (the beehive one is a notable example) and the last run 'n' gun stage is hellish but as a whole the game is great and absolutely beautiful in its presentation. The game is difficult, and most of that difficulty is do...

I'm playing Bioshock right now. Started playing it because it's the spiritual successor of System Shock 2 which I enjoyed very much. But so far it has been kinda frustrating, especially killing the Big Daddies. Bioshock is not a good game. It's a game that I struggled through when it came out, conv...

Yeah I love the sense of humor that some Japanese games have. It makes the situation not feel too serious. The humor in Western action games (and movies) always feels so mean-spirited to me, especially whenever the hero gloats over killing or brutalizing a bad guy. Have you ever played Way of the S...

When I was a child I thought it'd be cool to be Doctor Robotnik and design powerful robots powered by the chaos emeralds Now that I'm a feeble 30-year-old man I feel bad for just bad-mouthing fictional characters e: It's funny when games cast you as a bad guy but attempt to soften it as much as poss...

Yakuza Kiwami. I LOVE the Yakuza games! I mean you are playing as criminals in these games but they aren't bad people at all they are actially good guys with strong morals. They only fight other criminals and they are always helping the weak. I wish more American action games were like this. It's f...

Since we're talking about this I totally recommend at least Hitman (the new one) and I've heard Hitman 2 (also the new one) is as good. Maybe. If the new "Hitman" is the one where it was all episodic content, I almost bought it when it was on sale, but the reviews didn't sound very favora...
