Hi I had my assessment for autism in the UK yesterday (still taking it in). So I thought I'd reply to you as my first post here :) I was told I'd have to wait 12 months but it was 10 months. So a long wait but worth it. Answered a few questions for me. I prepared by thinking of situations or events...

Thanks for all the responses! I live in Wales and we have Integrated Autism Services here for each individual area so that's who will be assessing me. It's on the NHS. I'm really grateful to be living in a place that has adult diagnostic assessments on the NHS. I could never afford to pay for it. I ...

Hi! I am very early in the adult diagnostic process for autism but I know that I've been accepted for an assessment. I just sent the consent form for it off yesterday. My question is: what should I expect at the assessment? I have been told it's a 12-month wait so I have a while yet but because I'm ...

Hi. So a bit of background information: I was diagnosed with depression and social anxiety at the age of 14 and attended the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) for 2 years. During this time, I had to take Fluoxetine in liquid form and even though it helped, I hated taking it bc it ma...

I don't mind Christmas at all but people always have said I seem unexcited at Christmas, even though I'm not. Apparently, I open presents weird and everything. Even when I was a child, my parents thought I was unhappy. I am very set in my ways about Christmas and like it to be traditional with just ...

Yesterday, I went to the doctors about the possibility of me having autism for the first time and have been referred to the adult autism team for an assessment! I'm so so nervous but also kind of excited? Like if I am on the spectrum, I feel like it would really provide me with some closure and help...

Welcome to Wrong Planet. It is important for you to like the band and sing along. The middle region of the brain stores stress energy in the limbs. We have two arms and two legs and we need to vent this stress energy periodically and purge it from our body otherwise it stays inside us and causes gr...

I haven't been officially diagnosed with anything as of yet but yeah, I do love BDSM. I am a massive sub, I think I like knowing my rules and limitations as well. However, I do like to try and bend the rules a little bit. But I do love the routine-aspect of BDSM relationships and I love th...

All Time Low is from Towson! I went to college there. When I realized I was autistic, it was a revelation. It explained so much, and it improved my outlook, since I no longer had to blame myself for many things. I hope this realization will help you too. Aw wow, that's awesome! It's one of my life ...

Hello! I just found this website last night and have replied to a thread already but this is my first official post of my own. So, a little bit about me: my name is Jade, I'm 20 years old and I'm from the UK. I'm a cisgender, bisexual female who loves music, writing, genealogy, gaming, body modifica...

Oh, and you are definitely not the only one who is still affected by bullying. I haven't seen any of my bullies in well over 6 years, and yet I still have nightmares about that school to this day. My mum can't understand why I'm still so hung up on it but I think you don't understand unless you expe...

The thing that hurt me the most was definitely the psychological torture. Just being made to feel like you are less worthy of respect than others can be so damaging. The worst thing that was ever done to me by a bully? That's gonna take a bit of explaining, I think. So I had this friend called John....
