Hate it.

If I'm on the phone, I'm immediately looking for something else to occupy me while I talk, so the boredom/lack of interest doesn't overwhelm me.

I can, at least, tell you that you're not alone. I don't expect this to help much, but I relate 100% to everything that you've just described. Almost as if you're describing me.

For whatever it's worth, you're not the only way who feels or thinks the way that you do.
